About me
Welcome! I am a research scientist at Thales with extensive experience in research and development across machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and multimodal learning. Currently, my work focuses on next-generation fingerprint recognition systems — transitioning from traditional computer vision methods to deep learning–based approaches to significantly enhance accuracy, efficiency, and user experience.
I earned my PhD in Computer Science from the Boston University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California. My academic research focused on multimodal learning, integrating pathology images with genomic data to predict cancer outcomes. I developed methods in weakly supervised and self-supervised learning to analyze large-scale gigapixel images. Additionally, I worked on optical character recognition (OCR), including both text detection and recognition tasks.
